2021

Founded in Rajkot, Gujarat

A team of Engineers launched Deservoir with one mandate — build the world's most capable floating solar system specifically for Indian conditions. R&D began by surveying local water bodies.

2022

Designing

The first reconfigurable mold-compatible, variable-size floats were designed and simulated, our first patent application.

2023

Prototyping & Validation

Prototyped using advanced 3D printing and validation of PV module floats, walkways, float fasteners, module mounting columns, and anchors.

2024

India's First Canal-Compatible Float

Canal system completed — India's first. Toroidal anchor and bottom-access PV mounting column designs validated. Custom test rig Development started. First Design Certification awarded.

2025

Custom Test Rigs Commissioned

In-house extreme weather simulation facility built in Rajkot. Commencement of 24/7 continuous component and assembly-level tests.

2026

Commercial Launch

Full five-product ecosystem available. Our complete product portfolio is now live.

Deservoir Industries was born in Rajkot, Gujarat, in 2021 — not from a business plan, but from inspiration. India’s floating solar market was growing rapidly. But the Floats available were either imported (and poorly suited to Indian conditions) or locally adapted designs never intended for India’s diverse water body geology and climate.

What followed was five years of pure research — custom-built test rigs, 24/7 component testing. Our methodology is wetted by scientific fraternity, and an uncompromising commitment to engineering firsts rather than fast-follower products.
